Welcome to my first article series, in this series I will talk about who I personally think the Top 25 Scorers of all time are. the first thing I will do before getting to the list I will Talk about what i am factoring when making this list.

This isn't just pure scoring ability. I am not looking at how good someone's bag is and saying that is a better scorer. I am looking at production. Not ability. Yes KD Is a 7 footer with guard handles and a 3 and yes Carmelo can iso anyone up and score a contested fadeaway 2 but being ABLE to do something doesn't make you better if you aren't scoring overall more effectively than someone Like Reggie Miller who will shake anyone off ball, or Shaq who dominates the paint. I am Looking at this as if I am doing an all time great list but I am Only looking at the scoring aspect. So things like peak, longevity, Playoff resilience, etc. are all things I'm looking at. I want to note i value volume over efficiency. when I am trying to see who the greater scorer is I am looking at

  • Volume

  • Efficiency

  • Versatility

  • Gravity

  • context (offensive help ie: teammate gravity and spacing)

  • Longevity

  • peak

  • Playoff performance and Playoff resilience

I will be giving each Player a "Scoring Profile" in which i will show prime scoring stats RS and PO those stats being IA PTS/100 IA TS% (and IA TS%) along with prime TSA/100 -6*3pt% and FT% (Prime years).

Now that you know what I value here are *some* of my Honorable Mentions

Moses Malone (79-89)

  • 32.3 IA PTS/100 (29.5 PO)

  • 60.3 IA TS% (58 PO)

  • +3.6 rTS (+1.4 PO)

  • 27.2 TSA/100

  • 77.2 FT% (12.6 FTA/100)

Longevity Merchant is the best way to describe Moses. He was a very good scorer for a very goof time. He overall dropped in the PO and has a mid peak but he's just a longevity god.

Kawhi Leonard (16-20)

  • 37.5 IA PTS/100 (37.9 PO)

  • 60.6 IA TS% (63.1 PO)

  • +5 rTS

  • 30.6 TSA/100

  • 39 3pt% (7.4 3s/100)

  • 87.2 FT% (9.6 FTA/100)

I really wanted to put Kawhi At 25 but I couldn't justify putting him in with his lack of longevity.

Adrian Dantley (80-88)

  • 35.9 IA PTS/100 (31.8 PO)

  • 66.1 IA TS% (63.9 PO)

  • +9.1 rTS

  • 27.6 TSA/100

  • 82.1 FT% (12.2 FTA/100)

Casuals wont understand why Dantley didn't make the list (or come close) but he has bad longevity, Little Gravity, and had a small bag, he had a decent post bag but on the perimeter really only had a pump fake. He also Rarley made the PO And was bad when he made it.
